Message from Horn….
I’m a Norfolk girl from Tilney All Saints. I grew up living next to a family-run golf course, which my parents built from scratch on land which has been in the family for three generations and was previously a farm! I loved golf from an early age and was always encouraged by my dad to play. Dad even custom-made me my own tiny clubs when I was a little nipper so that I could practice my swing!
I come from a sporty family and my grandfather, Dennis Horn, was a world champion cyclist. Luckily some of the sporty genes were passed down to me!
Although I’m a competitive person, I have never played on tour and I enjoy my golf far more when playing in a fun, social and relaxed environment (although I have not ruled out the possibility just yet). I love playing against the boys and have always had a knack of being able to compete with them off the tee. Turning heads at the driving range is always satisfying and seeing the astonishment on people’s faces got me thinking. Golf, as we all know, is steeped in history and tradition and is still a very male dominated sport, often played by old men with archaic ideas of accessibility and acceptability (not to mention dress sense!). So I decided to set about changing these ideas, prejudices and norms by introducing a sense of glamour and sex appeal to the game of golf in order to bring it into the 21st century! Join the revolution and let’s change the perception of golf for the better!
I hope you enjoy the website!
